Hello, I’m Jen—it’s a pleasure to introduce myself.
From an early age, fitness has been a driving passion in my life. If I could have chosen Physical Education for every subject in school, I absolutely would have. Initially, my motivation for exercise was to stay fit and maintain my physique. However, as I entered my 30s, my perspective shifted. Fitness has become my therapy—essential for my mental well-being, longevity, cardiovascular health, and overall confidence. I know many of you can relate to this journey, and for those who are still discovering their path, 1811’s mission is to empower women of all ages to become the best version of themselves.
I hold a degree in Sports Rehabilitation, and throughout my career, I have been privileged to help patients recover from injuries. Over time, my focus has expanded beyond rehabilitation to teaching individuals how to create sustainable, healthy lifestyles. My goal is to help women develop fitness plans that are not only effective but also maintainable, leading to long-term improvements in health, performance, and overall well-being.
As a strong advocate for health and wellness, I founded 1811 to merge my love for movement with fashion. My vision was to create a women’s golf apparel brand that fosters confidence, comfort, and community.
My journey with golf began when I moved to Dubai from the UK in 2018. After attending the DP World Tour Championship, I was inspired to take up the sport. Although my relationship with golf has been one of both love and challenge, the game has captivated me. Dubai, with its exceptional golf courses and coaching opportunities, was the ideal place to start my journey.
One of the first challenges I encountered was the strict dress code on the course. At the time, I didn’t own any golf apparel, so I searched for high-quality brands. However, I found that many premium options came with a high price tag. This inspired me to sketch my own designs and create custom samples. I began with the classic golf polo shirt—an iconic piece intertwined with the evolution of the sport. As 1811 grows, I plan to expand the collection, recognizing the rising global demand for stylish, high-performance golf apparel.
Golf offers numerous benefits, from mastering a new skill and enjoying breathtaking landscapes to fostering social connections and promoting relaxation. The rhythmic nature of the game is therapeutic, making it a truly unique sport. And what better way to experience it than while feeling confident and fashionable?
